Ed was a Founding Director of Manhattan Theatre Source at Washington Square Park (now in its 15th season), where he and his partners programmed, produced and promoted literally hundreds of plays. ‘TheatreSource’ was voted "One of the 5 Best Theatres in NYC," by New York Magazine. As the Resident Set Designer, Ed was known for such ambitious productions as Arcadia, The House of Bernarda Alba, Cherry Orchard, and the game show, Play with Jackie. And as a playwright, his production of The Center of Gravity was called “…Chekov on acid.” Other works include the musical novel Peregrin the Aeronaut, and the rock n’ roll storybook The One-Legged Man of Porlock Bay. Ed has also created marketing promotions for Broadway shows including Bring in da Noise, Chicago and Grease and now works at Signature Theatre on 42nd Street.
Donya’s music can be heard in TV shows/films, Grounded For Life, That 80s Show, Double Platinum (Diana Ross & Brandy), Two Against Time (Marlo Thomas),
21 Jump Street and Hunter. She originated
the role of the Stenographer in Cy Coleman’s Lawyers, Lovers & Lunatics (Goodspeed/ York Theatre). Donya has enjoyed playing the role of the piano-thumping Topeka Abotelli in Swingtime Canteen (Downtown Cabaret Theatre/ Allenberry Playhouse/ Weston Playhouse). She was musical director of The Time Warner Singers for ten years. Musical direction credits include Doug Katsaros’ Abie’s Island Rose (Jewish Repertory Theatre/ Hollywood Playhouse). Currently, she’s gigging with the legendary vocal group, The Duprees. Donya is a graduate of Berklee College of Music. Her original productions include her lush rock CD, American Royalty.
Directing credits include, the world premiere musicals: Limelight - The Story of Charlie Chaplin (NYMF & NYSF) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Barrington Stage Company). Michael’s work with John Kander includes a new version of The Rink, starring Leslie Uggams and Janet Metz, as well as Kander and Ebb's, The Happy Time at the Signature Theatre in DC. Other highlights: McCarter Theatre’s annual production of A Christmas Carol and Puccini's La Rondine at Sarasota Opera Company. Staged readings include: Dillinger - the Musical, Liberty Smith (National Alliance of Musical Theatre). Broadway assistant directing credits: Steel Pier for Scott Ellis, and Film and TV credits include Picket Fences, and HBO’s Truman. Michael directed the Showcase production of Lisa and Leonardo at TheatreRow.
