Her eyes, they follow you.
Her sadness swallows you.
She talks to me.  She's lost it seems.

I sense a core, a presence,
no, more, an essence, life itself.
I feel a soul, revealing
and that's what's so appealing.  Life itself.

Don’t touch the painting.

What painting?  I see skin.
I can see she's lit within, or behind,
or inside.  I can almost read her mind.
She's lied.  She's sinned.
She wants to tell me everything
but doesn't know where to begin.

I hear a heart that's fearing
the part it's nearing; life itself.
I see you there, just being.
So rare, so freeing; life itself.

She has a will, she has a soul
yet she'll fulfill her wifely role.
Oh, this is sadness,
I can feel her desperate madness.

She evokes a response.
She excites the mind.
This woman wants.  This woman fights
with herself over appetites and urgent needs.
This woman bleeds!
She's life itself.
Life itself.  Life itself.

all the struggles of Lisa’s life and soul
that Leonardo has captured there, in…
