But he writes “Salai” in his books.
So now it’s my fate and destiny to go down
as “Little Satan.” Well, that just gets to me!
But to anyone at all who’s observant,
I come at his call - but I'm more than a servant.
You don’t buy a new tunic for a eunuch every week.
It doesn’t take a brain. I'm loyal to that Royal Pain…
and dressed up like a sheik!
He says I amuse him, though I am not his muse.
I've had to get used to that.
Though I never oppose him, should he ask for a pose.
I'm a practical acrobat.
And since I became his model, model - his bawdy body.
His doodles dawdle, and they're naughty, naughty.
I’m his tester, his provoker, his jester and his joker!
His servant and his slave. His Mister Misbehave!
Little Satan! Little Devil! Little Demon! Little Rebel!
Why am I the pebble in his shoe?
I’ll put it straight and on the level:
as long as he can revel in me,
he won’t want anyone new.
I see, he’s never involved once the problem is solved.
Therefore, me he will always pursue!

I’m his tester, his provoker, his jester and his joker!
No more servant, no more slave.

Little Satan!
Little Devil!
Little Demon!
Little Rebel!
Afterall I am the treble on his staff!
Just play it straight and on the level.
As long as he sees the devil in me.
And “Salai” is your epitaph.
I just laugh.
He’s the one who’s famous.
I’m just the ignoramus -
he sends to answer on his behalf.
His pupil without scruples.
His archetypal disciple.
His assistant with a twist!
Yeah, I may be Little Satan,
but don't forget that it’s me he can’t resist!
